Altgeld Elementary School and graduated from9Chicago Vocational High School; and10 WHEREAS, Kenneth Morgan was a dedicated lifelong learner11and pursued higher education at Prairie View A&M University in12Prairie View, Texas and Western Illinois University in Macomb13before earning a Master of Arts in Psychology from Chicago14State University in 1999; and15 WHEREAS, Kenneth Morgan's faith was important to him, and16he lived according to the principles of peace, love, honesty,17joy, hope, and compassion, serving as an example to those18around him through his character and actions; and19 WHEREAS, Kenneth Morgan met Kimberly in 1986, the woman20who would become his lifelong partner and best friend; after21years of building a strong foundation of love, commitment, andHR0983 - 2 - LRB104 22395 MST 38838 r1friendship, they were united in marriage in 2000 and together2raised three sons, Walter, Kenneth Jr., and Anthony; and3 WHEREAS, Kenneth Morgan dedicated his professional life to4serving others and strengthening his community; he served as5an administrative assistant to an elected official in6Chicago's 16th Ward and later devoted 28 years of7distinguished service to the University of Illinois Chicago,8where he was respected for his professionalism, integrity,9knowledge, and unwavering commitment to students, faculty,10staff, and the institution's mission; and11 WHEREAS, Kenneth Morgan was affectionately known as12"Biscuit" and found great joy in sports, particularly football13and basketball, and treasured time spent with his family,14friends, and grandchildren, creating memories that will be15cherished for generations; and16 WHEREAS, Kenneth Morgan leaves behind a legacy of faith,17perseverance, service, and devotion to family; and18 WHEREAS, Kenneth Morgan was preceded in death by his19parents and his siblings, Anthony, Anita, and Paul Morgan; and20 WHEREAS, Kenneth Morgan is survived by his beloved wife,21Kimberly Morgan; his sons, Kenneth (Carla) Jr., AnthonyHR0983 - 3 - LRB104 22395 MST 38838 r1(Jasmine), and Walter Morgan; his grandchildren, Taylor,2Kenneth III, Kamille, and Aniylah (Josiah); and numerous3brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended4family members, friends, and the many faculty, staff,5students, and colleagues whose lives he touched through the6University of Illinois Chicago Cooperative Extension Service,7Urban Health Program, College of Medicine, and College of8Applied Health Sciences; therefore, be it9 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE10HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that11we mourn the passing of Kenneth Louis Morgan Sr. and extend our12sincere condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and13all who knew and loved him; and be it further14 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be15presented to the family of Kenneth Morgan as an expression of16our deepest sympathy.
