                             A RESOLUTION
1 Designating the month of June 2026 as "Life Month" in
2    Pennsylvania.
3WHEREAS, The right to life is one of the founding principles
4 of our nation; and
5WHEREAS, The Constitution of the United States does not
6 include a right to abortion; and
7WHEREAS, The Federal Government, the Commonwealth and local
8 government entities have the duty to protect the life of all
9 individuals; and
10WHEREAS, The development of scientific and medical technology
11 has demonstrated repeatedly the humanity of the unborn child;
12 and
13WHEREAS, More than 63 million lives have been lost because of
14 the unethical decision of Roe v. Wade; and
15WHEREAS, On June 24, 2022, the United States Supreme Court
16 issued its decision in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health
17 Organization case, which overturned Roe v. Wade; and
1WHEREAS, A new birth of freedom began again for the unborn;
2 and
3WHEREAS, Numerous states have passed laws protecting the
4 unborn since Roe v. Wade was overturned, and tens of thousands
5 of lives have been saved as a result; and
6WHEREAS, Our children and our children's children will not
7 live in a time in America when we killed the most innocent among
8 us; and
9WHEREAS, The General Assembly must continue to protect and
10 affirm the lives of all Pennsylvanians; therefore be it
11RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the
12 month of June 2026 as "Life Month" in Pennsylvania; and be it
13 further
14RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives call on all
15 churches, businesses and communities to celebrate the four-year
16 anniversary of the historic overturning of Roe v. Wade on June
17 24, 2026.
