hr7005/draft.txt<BillNo> <Sponsor>HOUSE RESOLUTION 7005By GlynnA RESOLUTION to honor and commend Kenwood High Schoolupon being designated a TennesseeSTEM/STEAM school.WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this legislative body should pause to paytribute to those public schools in Tennessee that, through the natural talents and unflaggingcommitment to academic excellence evidenced by their administration, faculty, staff, students,and parents, have achieved significant milestones; andWHEREAS, Kenwood High School in Clarksville is one such school, which recentlyearned the distinction of being designated a Tennessee STEM/STEAM school by theTennessee Department of Education; andWHEREAS, a Tennessee STEM/STEAM School Designation recognizes those selectschools that promote and implement rigorous STEM-related learning opportunities for allstudents that lead to postsecondary achievement and high-quality careers; andWHEREAS, one of only eleven schools to receive this prestigious honor this year,Kenwood High School has been named twice a STEM designation school, demonstrating itssustained commitment to excellence in STEM/STEAM education; andWHEREAS, the administration, faculty, and staff of Kenwood High School have built anenvironment that ensures students have the very best atmosphere for learning; andWHEREAS, the success of Kenwood High School is a tremendous source of pride forthe school's administration, teachers, students, and parents; andWHEREAS, the dedication to academic excellence demonstrated by all the fineindividuals affiliated with Kenwood High School is clearly deserving of our respect, admiration,and commendation; now, therefore,HR7005019126-1-BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDFOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we honor andcommend Kenwood High School upon being designated a Tennessee STEM/STEAM schooland extend to its administration, faculty, and staff our best wishes for continued success in thefuture.BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be preparedfor presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy.-2- 019126
