hr7004/draft.txt<BillNo> <Sponsor>HOUSE RESOLUTION 7004By McCalmonA RESOLUTION to honor Victor O'Neal Lecou of RavenwoodHigh School.WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this legislative body should pause to paytribute to those students who, through their natural talents and unflagging commitment toacademic excellence, have distinguished themselves in and out of the classroom; andWHEREAS, Victor O'Neal Lecou is one such exceptional student, who will soongraduate from Ravenwood High School; andWHEREAS, through diligent study, steady composure during examinations, andsteadfast commitment of time and talent, Mr. Lecou has achieved academic success whileparticipating in a number of extracurricular activities, including cross country and track and field;andWHEREAS, for four years, Mr. Lecou participated in JROTC, rising to the rank of CadetSergeant First Class on the Officer Board of the Ravenwood JROTC SM1 Unit; andWHEREAS, throughout his distinguished academic career, Victor O'Neal Lecou hasexcelled in twelve Advanced Placement courses, earning two perfect scores of 5/5 and fourscores of 4/5; he was also awarded the Silver Seal of Biliteracy in both French and Spanish;andWHEREAS, a leader among his peers, Mr. Lecou has generously dedicated his time andtalents to various volunteer endeavors; he spent a week in Honduras with Holy Family CatholicChurch, building homes for the impoverished, and another week in Mobile, Alabama, paintingand landscaping at an underprivileged school; andWHEREAS, his display of intellectual aptitude and ambition surely bodes well for hisfuture success at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he will pursue a bachelor'sHR7004019152-1-degree in architecture through the highly competitive, NAAB-accredited Architecture program;andWHEREAS, no stranger to recognition, Mr. Lecou is a recipient of the VolunteerScholarship, the HOPE Scholarship, and the GAMS Scholarship; additionally, he will graduatethis year with the Williamson County Honors Diploma, Tennessee Honors, TennesseeDistinction, and Volunteerism Distinction, further demonstrating his commitment to academicand personal excellence; andWHEREAS, Victor O'Neal Lecou's noteworthy achievements are a tremendous sourceof pride for his family, his school, and his community; andWHEREAS, Mr. Lecou's dedication to excellence is clearly deserving of the respect,admiration, and commendation of the members of this legislative body; now, therefore,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDFOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we herebycommend and honor Victor O'Neal Lecou, 2026 graduate of Ravenwood High School, on hisimpressive academic and personal achievements and extend to him our best wishes for ahappy, successful future.BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be preparedfor presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy.-2- 019152
