 Modification of average daily membership for K-12 funding.

1 AN ACT relating to K-12 school finance; modifying average
2 daily membership utilized in the education resource block
3 grant    model   for   students       that   successfully    complete
4 competency-based       equivalency       examinations;      requiring
5 rulemaking; and providing for an effective date.

7 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

9Section 1.

11(a)   Notwithstanding any other provision of law, and
12 subject to the rules required pursuant to subsection (b) of
13 this section, each student that successfully completes a
14 competency-based equivalency examination, as authorized by
15 W.S. 21-2-304(a)(iii), shall be included within the average
16 daily membership (ADM) of the school district, solely for

1 the course completed by examination, through the remainder
2 of the semester in which the examination was completed.

4(b)   The state superintendent shall promulgate rules,
5 in   accordance     with    W.S.      21-2-202(e),     necessary      for    the
6 operation of the education resource block grant model, as
7 defined      by   W.S.    21-13-101(a)(xiv),  in   accordance       with
8 subsection (a) of this section.

10Section    2.     This   act    is   effective      immediately      upon
11 completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law
12 as     provided   by     Article      4,    Section    8   of   the   Wyoming
13 Constitution.
