HB0176Modification of average daily membership for K-12 funding.Sponsored by: Representative(s) JarvisA BILLfor1 AN ACT relating to K-12 school finance; modifying average2 daily membership utilized in the education resource block3 grant model for students that successfully complete4 competency-based equivalency examinations; requiring5 rulemaking; and providing for an effective date.67 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:89Section 1.1011(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, and12 subject to the rules required pursuant to subsection (b) of13 this section, each student that successfully completes a14 competency-based equivalency examination, as authorized by15 W.S. 21-2-304(a)(iii), shall be included within the average16 daily membership (ADM) of the school district, solely for1 HB01762026 STATE OF WYOMING 26LSO-05041 the course completed by examination, through the remainder2 of the semester in which the examination was completed.34(b) The state superintendent shall promulgate rules,5 in accordance with W.S. 21-2-202(e), necessary for the6 operation of the education resource block grant model, as7 defined by W.S. 21-13-101(a)(xiv), in accordance with8 subsection (a) of this section.910Section 2.
