MR. PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
A SENATE RESOLUTION honoring the 2026 Senate
Democratic Caucus interns for their service during the Second
Regular Session of the One Hundred Twenty-Fourth Indiana
General Assembly.
Whereas, Members of the 2026 intern class include:
Gabrielle Alford, Andrew Carles Hilger, Shailey Desai, Tina
El-Amoor, Daniel Huber, Sanjana Kakanur, Oluwasola Lasaki,
Jordan McAtee, Shaina Miller, Josephine Morrison, El'ad
Nichols-Kaufman, Mike Obioma, and Neil Sahu;
Whereas, The interns of the Senate Democratic Caucus
represent eight different universities and colleges: Indiana
University Indianapolis, Indiana University Bloomington,
Butler University, Ball State University, Purdue University,
DePauw University, St. John's College Annapolis, and The
United States Military Academy;
Whereas, The interns serve in all departments assisting the
caucus senators, caucus attorney, and staff while
demonstrating dedication, professionalism, and strong
commitment to public service rooted in integrity and humility;

Whereas, They have shown true teamwork and adaptability
which enabled senators of the Democratic Caucus to better
represent and serve constituents in a prompt, significant,
reliable, and respectful manner;
Whereas, The interns' exemplary work ethics, hardwork,
and diligence has contributed to the overall success of the
Democratic Caucus and their curiosity and willingness to grow
has reflected the true purpose of service; and
Whereas, The work of the Democratic interns is inherent
to the success of the Indiana General Assembly and the state of
Indiana: Therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate of the
General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate expresses its deep
appreciation to the Senate Democratic Caucus interns.
SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed
to transmit fourteen copies of this Resolution to the Senate
Democratic Caucus interns.
