4 SJR___ COMMITTEE APPOINTED TO ESCORT GOVERNOR TO JOINT
5 SESSION OF THE LEGISLATURE.

7BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
8 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That when the two Houses recess
9 Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in the Alabama State House, the
10 two Houses shall convene again at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday,
11 January 13, 2026, in the House of Representatives Chamber on
12 the second floor of the Alabama State Capitol, 600 Dexter
13 Avenue, in a joint session for the purpose of hearing the
14 message of the Honorable Kay Ivey, Governor of Alabama.
15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a committee of three
16 from the Senate, to be named by the Presiding Officer of the
17 Senate, and three from the House, to be named by the Speaker
18 of the House, be appointed to wait upon the Governor and
19 advise her for the purpose of receiving her message and that
20 the committee also serve as a committee to escort the
21 Governor to the House for the joint session.
