sb1674/introduced-in-senate.txt119 S1674 IS: Mammoth Cave National Park Boundary Adjustment Act of 2025U.S. Senate2025-05-08text/xmlENPursuant to Title 17 Section 105 of the United States Code, this file is not subject to copyright protection and is in the public domain.II119th CONGRESS1st SessionS. 1674IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATESMay 8, 2025Mr. McConnell introduced the followingbill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Energy and Natural ResourcesA BILLTo modify the boundary of the Mammoth Cave National Park in the State ofKentucky, and for other purposes.1.Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Mammoth Cave National Park Boundary Adjustment Act of 2025 .2.Mammoth Cave National Park boundary modificationSection 11 of the Act of June 5, 1942 (56 Stat. 319, chapter 341; 16 U.S.C. 404c–11 ), is amended—(1)in the second paragraph, by inserting (adjusted for inflation in accordance with the Consumer Price Index published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the Department of Labor) after $350,000 ; and(2)by inserting after the second paragraph the following:The Secretary of the Interior may acquire the approximately 551.14 acres of land and any interests in land generally depicted as Proposed Addition on the map entitled Mammoth Cave National Park Proposed Southern Boundary Expansion Edmonson and Barren Counties, Kentucky , numbered 135/177,967, and dated May 2025 for inclusion in the Mammoth Cave National Park..
