1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a grant to the Como
1.3Community Center in the city of Minneapolis.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5Section 1. COMO COMMUNITY CENTER; APPROPRIATION.
1.6$995,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.7of employment and economic development for a grant to the Como Community Center to
1.8construct, furnish, and equip improvements to renovate and repurpose the historic Como
1.9Congregational Church in the city of Minneapolis to serve as a community center, public
1.10meeting space, and auditorium available for public use. Up to $100,000 of this appropriation
1.11may be used to reimburse the Como Community Center for costs incurred after October 1,
1.122024, for this project. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until the project is
1.13completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
