ELECTRIC BUS CHARGING STATIONS; STATEWIDE.1.6Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $1,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund1.7to the commissioner of commerce for grants to eligible applicants as defined in Minnesota1.8Statutes, section 216C.374, to acquire and install Level 2 and Level 3 charging stations for1.9electric buses used to transport students. Grants are to be awarded to eligible applicants in1.10accordance with the electric school bus deployment program pursuant to Minnesota Statutes,1.11section 216C.374.1.12Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond1.13proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of1.14the state in an amount up to $1,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect1.15prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota1.16Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.1.17EFFECTIVE DATE. This section is effective the day following final enactment.Section 1. 1
