To amend the CARES Act to remove a requirement on lessors to provide notice to vacate, and for other purposes.
1.
Short title
This Act may be cited as the   Respect State Housing Laws Act  .
2.
Clarification
Section 4024 of the CARES Act ( 15 U.S.C. 9058 ) is amended by striking subsection (c).

Respect State Housing Laws Act

This bill eliminates a provision that requires a 30-day notice period before a landlord may begin eviction proceedings against a tenant in federally assisted or federally backed housing.
