SHORT TITLE.This Act may be cited as the ``School Health and InstructionalEnvironment Limits and Disclosure Act'' or the ``SHIELD Act''.SEC. 2. RESTRICTIONS ON DISTRIBUTING INFORMATION ABOUT ABORTION ATSCHOOLS.Section 445(c) of the General Education Provisions Act (20 U.S.C.1232h(c)) is amended--(1) in paragraph (2)(C), by adding at the end thefollowing:``(iv) Activities involving thedistribution or dissemination of informationabout abortion or abortion-related services tostudents.'';(2) by redesignating paragraphs (5) and (6) as paragraphs(6) and (7), respectively;(3) by inserting after paragraph (4) the following:``(5) Prohibition on certain organizations distributingabortion-related information.--A local educational agency thatreceives funds under any applicable program may not allow anyorganization that provides abortions (or a subsidiary of suchan organization), including an abortion service provider, todistribute or disseminate information about abortion orabortion-related services to students on school grounds or avirtual platform of the local educational agency (includingsharing or reposting such information on behalf of such outsideorganization on social media).''; and(4) in paragraph (7), as so redesignated, by adding at theend the following:``(H) Abortion-related service.--The term`abortion-related service' means any medical, surgical,or support care directly related to terminating thepregnancy of a woman.''.<all>
