                                AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2    Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in general provisions
3    relating to civil actions and proceedings, providing for
4    indemnification.
5    The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7    Section 1.    Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
8 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
9 § 7104.    Indemnification.
10    A provision or a term in a contract in which a party shall be
11 indemnified or held harmless from any claims, legal actions,
12 damages, losses or expenses arising out of bodily injury to
13 persons, damage to property or economic loss caused by or
14 resulting from the party's negligence, strict liability or
15 intentional or reckless wrongdoing, in whole or in part, shall
16 be void as against public policy and unenforceable.
17    Section 2.    The addition of 42 Pa.C.S. § 7104 shall apply to
18 contracts entered into on or after the effective date of this
19 section.
1   Section 3.    This act shall take effect in 60 days.
