I 119th CONGRESS 2d Session H. R. 9533 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES June 29, 2026 Mr. Vindman (for himself and Mr. Hamadeh of Arizona ) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Veterans' Affairs A BILL
To amend the VA MISSION Act of 2018 to require the publication of certain information regarding staffing and vacancies in the Veterans Health Administration, and for other purposes.
1.
Short title
This Act may be cited as the Veterans Health Administration Personnel Transparency and Accountability Act .
2.
Publication of information regarding staffing and vacancies in the Veterans Health Administration
Section 505(a) of the VA MISSION Act of 2018 ( Public Law 115–182 ; 38 U.S.C. 301 note) is amended—
(1)
in paragraph (1)—
(A)
in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking or, in the case of information relating to Veterans Health Administration positions, by medical facility and inserting or, in the case of information relating to Veterans Health Administration positions, by occupation and, except for information specified in subparagraph (B), by medical facility ; and
(B)
in subparagraph (B), by striking during the quarter and inserting during the applicable period under paragraph (3) ; and
(2)
in paragraph (3)—
(A)
by striking a quarterly basis. and inserting an em dash; and
(B)
by adding at the end the following new subparagraphs:
(A)
a monthly basis, with regards to information specified in subparagraphs (A) through (C) of such paragraph that relates to positions in the Veterans Health Administration; and
(B)
a quarterly basis with regards to any other information specified in such paragraph.
