RES. 1376 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES June 18, 2026 Mr. Thompson of California submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Agriculture RESOLUTIONSupporting the contributions and goals of Lavender Growers Month.Whereas lavender is cultivated across the United States as a specialty crop with applications in agriculture, wellness, culinary arts, and manufacturing;Whereas lavender farms contribute to rural economies through agritourism, value-added products, and local employment;Whereas many lavender farms are small, family-owned, and women-led enterprises that reflect the diversity and resilience of American agriculture;Whereas the months of June and July represents peak bloom for lavender in many regions of the United States, making it a vital time for harvest and public engagement; andWhereas recognizing lavender growers supports agricultural innovation, sustainability; and domestic production: Now, therefore, be itThat the House of Representatives—(1)recognizes Lavender Growers Month; and(2)encourages Americans to learn about, visit, and support lavender farms and businesses across the United States.
