sr46/enrolled.txtResolutionENROLLED SENATERESOLUTION NO. 46 By: PaxtonA Resolution relating to the protection of theproperty and supplies of the Senate and duties of thePresident Pro Tempore during the 2026 legislativeinterim; authorizing employment of necessarypersonnel; restricting use of Senate offices andSenate Chamber during the interim except with theconsent of the President Pro Tempore; authorizingneeded repairs to space in the Capitol under thecontrol of the Senate and purchase of neededfurnishings and equipment therefor; authorizingPresident Pro Tempore to appoint members of theSenate to interim committees; authorizing PresidentPro Tempore to approve claims for reimbursementincurred by members and employees of the Senateduring the interim; and providing for cumulativepowers.BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE 2ND SESSION OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMALEGISLATURE:SECTION 1. The President Pro Tempore is hereby authorized tohire necessary employees to conduct the business and protect theproperty of the Senate during the 2026 legislative interim.SECTION 2. No private organization, state executive agency ordepartment, or the employees thereof shall be permitted to use theSenate Chamber, meeting rooms, or offices during the interim withoutthe consent of the President Pro Tempore.SECTION 3. The President Pro Tempore is hereby authorized toprovide for needed repairs and renovations to space in the Capitolunder the control of the Senate including the Senate Chamber,offices, equipment, and furnishings in such space, and to purchaseneeded equipment, supplies, furniture, furnishings, and fixtures forsuch space, and to approve claims therefor.SECTION 4. The President Pro Tempore is hereby authorized toappoint members of the Senate to interim committees.SECTION 5. The President Pro Tempore is hereby authorized toapprove claims of members and employees of the Senate forreimbursement of expenses incurred while engaged in officialbusiness during the interim as directed by the President Pro Temporeaccording to law.SECTION 6.
