18WHEREAS, Kopper Kettle Candies is a beloved Arkansas candymaker with
19 locations in Van Buren and Fort Smith, Arkansas; and
20
21WHEREAS, Kopper Kettle Candies was established in 1925 and has been a
22 staple of the Arkansas River Valley for over one hundred (100) years; and
23
24WHEREAS, Kopper Kettle Candies has been a family-owned business for
25 three (3) generations; and
26
27WHEREAS, Kopper Kettle Candies continues to craft high-quality
28 chocolates, molded candies, and seasonal specialties with the same dedication
29 to craftsmanship that has defined the business for over one hundred (100)
30 years; and

32WHEREAS, Kopper Kettle Candies was honored as the number one (1) candy
33 store in Arkansas and the number five (5) candy store in the United States,
34 according to a recent nationwide ranking published by the culinary and travel
35 website LoveFood.com; and

1      WHEREAS, the LoveFood.com ranking praised the top-ranking stores,
2 including Kopper Kettle Candies, for their nostalgic charm and artisanal
3 confections; and

5      WHEREAS, the prestigious ranking evaluated candy shops across the
6 United States and highlighted establishments that offer exceptional quality,
7 deep community ties, and a unique customer experience; and
8
9      WHEREAS, third-generation owner Thomas Greer said of the ranking, "We
10 are incredibly honored and humbled by this national recognition. This
11 milestone is a testament to our hardworking team who pour their hearts into
12 every batch of candy, and to our wonderful customers in Van Buren, Fort
13 Smith, and beyond who have supported our family business for over one hundred
14 (100) years. We carry our sweet history with pride, and we are thrilled to
15 put Arkansas on the map as a top destination for candy lovers.",

17 NOW THEREFORE,
18 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
19 STATE OF ARKANSAS:

21      THAT the Senate congratulate Kopper Kettle Candies for its national
22 recognition as the top candy store in Arkansas and as the top fifth candy
23 store in the United States.
24
25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be
26 presented to Thomas Greer by the Secretary of the Senate.
