Commending the Northern Shores Elementary School National Junior Beta Club.
WHEREAS, the Northern Shores Elementary School National Junior Beta Club of Suffolk earned several awards at the National Beta Club Virginia Elementary/Junior State Convention in February 2026; and
WHEREAS, after advancing to the state convention in the club's inaugural year, members of the Northern Shores Elementary School National Junior Beta Club placed first in the Living Literature event, third in Academics – Math, and fourth in Marketing and Communications; and
WHEREAS, eight Northern Shores Elementary School students qualified to compete at the national level, and four dancers from the school were selected to participate in the opening ceremony of the National Beta Club's National Convention; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of the club's rapid growth and high level of engagement, Chantelle Gregoire-Solet, sponsor of the Northern Shores Elementary School National Junior Beta Club, also received the John W. Harris Educator of Excellence award; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Northern Shores Elementary School National Junior Beta Club hereby be commended for its outstanding performance at the 2026 National Beta Club Virginia Elementary/Junior State Convention; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Northern Shores Elementary School National Junior Beta Club as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the club's achievements and best wishes for the future.
