5 SHOPS BASSMASTER CLASSIC.

7WHEREAS, the Alabama Legislature takes great pride in
8 recognizing outstanding achievements by individuals who
9 bring honor and distinction to the great State of Alabama;
10 and
11WHEREAS, Dylan Nutt has achieved one of the most
12 prestigious accomplishments in the sport of professional
13 bass fishing by winning the 2026 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster
14 Classic presented by Under Armour, universally regarded as
15 the World Championship of Bass Fishing and the Biggest Stage
16 in Bass Fishing; and
17WHEREAS, the Bassmaster Classic has served as the
18 sport's premier championship event for more than five
19 decades, showcasing the highest level of competitive bass
20 fishing and attracting anglers and fans from across the
21 nation and around the world; and
22WHEREAS, B.A.S.S., LLC, the organization that
23 operates the Bassmaster Classic and governs professional
24 bass fishing competition, is proudly headquartered in
25 Birmingham, Alabama, further strengthening the state's deep
26 ties to the sport; and
27WHEREAS, Dylan Nutt is a collegiate angler
28 representing the University of North Alabama, a program

29 known for producing some of the most talented young anglers
30 in the sport today; and
31WHEREAS, through dedication, perseverance, and a
32 commitment to excellence, Dylan Nutt honed his competitive
33 skills in the great State of Alabama, where he developed the
34 talent and passion that ultimately led him to the pinnacle
35 of professional bass fishing; and
36WHEREAS, his remarkable victory demonstrates the
37 strength of Alabama's fishing heritage and highlights the
38 state's role as a leader in outdoor recreation and
39 competitive bass fishing; and
40WHEREAS, Dylan Nutt's achievement serves as an
41 inspiration to young anglers across Alabama and the nation,
42 proving that hard work, determination, and sportsmanship can
43 lead to extraordinary success; now therefore,
44BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
45 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That Dylan Nutt is hereby
46 commended and congratulated on winning the 2026 Bass Pro
47 Shops Bassmaster Classic presented by Under Armour, and we
48 offer this resolution in recognition of his outstanding
49 accomplishment and in tribute to his remarkable achievement
50 in the sport of bass fishing.
