SJR___ COMMENDING DYLAN NUTT ON WINNING THE 2026 BASS PRO
SHOPS BASSMASTER CLASSIC.
WHEREAS, the Alabama Legislature takes great pride in
recognizing outstanding achievements by individuals who
bring honor and distinction to the great State of Alabama;
and
WHEREAS, Dylan Nutt has achieved one of the most
prestigious accomplishments in the sport of professional
bass fishing by winning the 2026 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster
Classic presented by Under Armour, universally regarded as
the World Championship of Bass Fishing and the Biggest Stage
in Bass Fishing; and
WHEREAS, the Bassmaster Classic has served as the
sport's premier championship event for more than five
decades, showcasing the highest level of competitive bass
fishing and attracting anglers and fans from across the
nation and around the world; and
WHEREAS, B.A.S.S., LLC, the organization that
operates the Bassmaster Classic and governs professional
bass fishing competition, is proudly headquartered in
Birmingham, Alabama, further strengthening the state's deep
ties to the sport; and
WHEREAS, Dylan Nutt is a collegiate angler
representing the University of North Alabama, a program

known for producing some of the most talented young anglers
in the sport today; and
WHEREAS, through dedication, perseverance, and a
commitment to excellence, Dylan Nutt honed his competitive
skills in the great State of Alabama, where he developed the
talent and passion that ultimately led him to the pinnacle
of professional bass fishing; and
WHEREAS, his remarkable victory demonstrates the
strength of Alabama's fishing heritage and highlights the
state's role as a leader in outdoor recreation and
competitive bass fishing; and
WHEREAS, Dylan Nutt's achievement serves as an
inspiration to young anglers across Alabama and the nation,
proving that hard work, determination, and sportsmanship can
lead to extraordinary success; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That Dylan Nutt is hereby
commended and congratulated on winning the 2026 Bass Pro
Shops Bassmaster Classic presented by Under Armour, and we
offer this resolution in recognition of his outstanding
accomplishment and in tribute to his remarkable achievement
in the sport of bass fishing.
