WILLIAMS ANDCIRESI, MARCH 23, 2026REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON LABOR AND INDUSTRY, MARCH 24, 2026AN ACT1 Amending the act of January 17, 1968 (P.L.11, No.5), entitled2 "An act establishing a fixed minimum wage and overtime rates3 for employes, with certain exceptions; providing for minimum4 rates for learners and apprentices; creating a Minimum Wage5 Advisory Board and defining its powers and duties; conferring6 powers and imposing duties upon the Department of Labor and7 Industry; imposing duties on employers; and providing8 penalties," further providing for minimum wages.9 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania10 hereby enacts as follows:11 Section 1. Section 4 of the act of January 17, 1968 (P.L.11,12 No.5), known as The Minimum Wage Act of 1968, is amended by13 adding a subsection to read:14 Section 4. Minimum Wages.--Except as may otherwise be15 provided under this act:16 * * *17 (a.2) Beginning December 1, 2026, and each December 118 thereafter, the minimum wage required under this section shall19 be increased by the same percentage calculated for the annual20 cost-of-living adjustment to the salary of members of the1 General Assembly under section 4(d)(1) of the act of September2 30, 1983 (P.L.160, No.39), known as the Public Official3 Compensation Law.4 * * *5 Section 2.
