sb3969/introduced-in-senate.txtII 119th CONGRESS 2d Session S. 3969 IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES March 3, 2026 Mr. Ricketts introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs A BILLTo direct the Comptroller General of the United States to conduct a study that identifies options to remove barriers and improve housing for persons who are elderly or disabled.1.Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Improving Housing Access Act .2.Improving housing for the elderly and disabledThe Comptroller General of the United States shall, not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this section, conduct a study that identifies options to remove barriers and improve housing for persons who are elderly or disabled, including any potential impacts of providing capital advances for—(1)the program for supportive housing for the elderly under section 202 of the Housing Act of 1959; and(2)the program for supportive housing for persons with disabilities under section 811 of the Cranston-Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act.
