Chapter 324, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto2 one new section, to be known as section 324.049, to read as3 follows:1324.049. 1. The board of registration for the healing2 arts, the Missouri dental board, the board of nursing, and3 the board of pharmacy shall not grant any regulatory4 mitigation or waive or modify any rules related to5 dispensing, prescribing, including prescription renewals,6 administering, or otherwise distributing medications or7 controlled substances to a person or business developing,8 creating, or generating artificial intelligence for the use9 of dispensing, prescribing, including prescription renewals,10 administering, or otherwise distributing medications or11 controlled substances.122. As used in this section, the term "artificial13 intelligence" means an artificial intelligence technology14 system that:15(1) Is trained on data;16(2) Is designed to simulate human conversation with a17 consumer through text, audio, or visual communication; andSB 1804 218(3) Generates nonscripted outputs similar to outputs19 created by a human, with limited or no human oversight.✓
