Mike PorfirioSYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:20 ILCS 3310/95 newAmends the Nuclear Safety Law of 2004. Provides that the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security has the right to enter on public and private property in order to take environmental samples in response to a disaster that causes radioactive contamination. Effective immediately.LRB104 18370 BDA 31812 bA BILL FORSB3643 LRB104 18370 BDA 31812 b1 AN ACT concerning State government.2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,3 represented in the General Assembly:4 Section 5. The Nuclear Safety Law of 2004 is amended by5 adding Section 95 as follows:6 (20 ILCS 3310/95 new)7 Sec. 95. Right of entry.8 (a) As used in this Section, "disaster" has the meaning9 given to that term in Section 4 of the Illinois Emergency10 Management Agency Act.11 (b) IEMA-OHS has the right to enter on public and private12 property in order to take environmental samples in response to13 a disaster that causes radioactive contamination.14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon15 becoming law.
Amends the Nuclear Safety Law of 2004. Provides that the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security has the right to enter on public and private property in order to take environmental samples in response to a disaster that causes radioactive contamination. Effective immediately.
