                                10  AN ACT
                                11   MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE
                                12   UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO FUND THE MEDICAL SPANISH EDUCATION
                                13   PROGRAM FOR HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER STUDENTS.

                                15   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
                                16        SECTION 1.    APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand

                                17   dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the

                                18   board of regents of the university of New Mexico for
                                19   expenditure in fiscal years 2027 and 2028 for the health
                                20   sciences center office for diversity, equity and inclusion for
                                21   Spanish-language health sciences curriculum development and
                                22   implementation to enhance the medical Spanish education program
                                23   for health sciences center students.   Any unexpended balance
                                24   remaining at the end of fiscal year 2028 shall revert to the
                                25   general fund.
