                                            AN ACT
 To amend chapter 590, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to certain
      investigations by the Missouri state highway patrol.
 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
         Section A. Chapter 590, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be
2 known as section 590.1035, to read as follows:
         590.1035. 1. The Missouri state highway patrol shall investigate the following:
2(1) In a city not within a county or in a county with more than one million
3 inhabitants, any incident in which the use of force by a law enforcement officer against a
4 civilian results in death; and
5(2) In a city not within a county or in a county with more than one million
6 inhabitants, any incident in which the use of force by a civilian against a law
7 enforcement officer results in death.
82. The local law enforcement agency shall reimburse the Missouri state highway
9 patrol for any expenses incurred by the patrol in investigating incidents under
10 subsection 1 of this section.
