                                11   MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE REGIONAL FARM TO FOOD BANK
                                12   PROGRAM; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

                                14   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
                                15        SECTION 1.   APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred million dollars
                                16   ($200,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the

                                17   board of regents of New Mexico state university for the New

                                18   Mexico department of agriculture for expenditure in fiscal year
                                19   2026 and subsequent fiscal years for the regional farm to food
                                20   bank program.   Any unexpended balance remaining at the end of a
                                21   fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
                                22        SECTION 2.   EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
                                23   peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
