The Environmental Protection Act is amended by5 adding Section 12.8 as follows:6 (415 ILCS 5/12.8 new)7 Sec. 12.8. Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan. Within8 one year after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the9 104th General Assembly, the Agency shall develop and begin10 implementation of requirements for a Stormwater Pollution11 Prevention Plan or other similar best management practice12 requirements, to be included in National Pollutant Discharge13 Elimination System (NPDES) permits issued to facilities14 regulated under 40 CFR 414 or 40 CFR 463. These requirements15 shall apply to the control of plastic pellets or other16 preproduction plastic materials in stormwater runoff from17 these facilities.
Amends the Environmental Protection Act. Provides that one year after the effective date of the amendatory Act, the Agency shall develop and begin implementation of requirements for a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan or other similar best management practice requirements, to be included in National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits issued to facilities regulated under certain federal regulations. Provides that these requirements apply to the control of plastic pellets or other preproduction plastic materials, in stormwater runoff from these facilities.
