Bolinski was born in Pinckneyville to Janie6 (Lee) Sroka-Meier on September 2, 1981; she married Robert M.7 Bolinski in St. Bruno Catholic Church on November 4, 2017; and8 WHEREAS, Sgt. Bolinski served with the United States Army,9 657th Transportation Company, 419th Transportation Battalion,10 103rd Sustainment Command, Mt. Vernon as a unit administrator;11 and12 WHEREAS, Sgt. Bolinski's awards and decorations include13 the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal,14 the Army Achievement Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal, the15 Army Good Conduct Medal, the Army Reserve Components16 Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the17 Iraq Campaign Medal with Bronze Service Star, the Global War18 on Terrorism Service Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal19 with Mobilization Device, the Noncommissioned Officers20 Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, the21 Overseas Service Ribbon with Numeral 2, the Basic Marksmanship22 Qualification Badge Expert with Rifle Bar, the MeritoriousSJ0046 - 2 - LRB104 16492 MST 29888 r1 Unit Commendation (Army), and the Overseas Service Bar; and2 WHEREAS, Sgt. Bolinski was a loving wife and mother and3 enjoyed crocheting, being outdoors, cutting the grass,4 cleaning her cars, and gardening; and5 WHEREAS, Sgt. Bolinski passed away on March 5, 2019 while6 serving her country in Kuwait; therefore, be it7 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL8 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF9 REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that we designate Illinois10 Route 13 from the eastern limits of the Village of11 Coulterville to the western limits of the Village of12 Pinckneyville as the "Sgt. Holli R. Bolinski Memorial Road";13 and be it further14 RESOLVED, That the Illinois Department of Transportation15 is requested to erect at suitable locations, consistent with16 State and federal regulations, appropriate plaques or signs17 giving notice of the name "Sgt. Holli R. Bolinski Memorial18 Road"; and be it further19 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be20 presented to the family of Sgt. Bolinski, the mayor ofSJ0046 - 3 - LRB104 16492 MST 29888 r1 Pinckneyville, and the Secretary of the Illinois Department of2 Transportation.
