2A memorial to the Congress of the United States,
3urging Congress to pass H.R. 260, the No Tax Dollars
4for Terrorists Act.

6WHEREAS, the Federal Government, and other nongovernmental
7organizations, are wasting the money of American taxpayers by
8sending more than 40 million dollars each week to the Taliban,
9an organization with an extensive record of human atrocities
10which is currently under review to be designated as a foreign
11terrorist organization, and
12WHEREAS, reporting indicates that such taxpayer funds are
13being laundered through multiple channels, with Taliban leaders
14taking a share of the money and providing aid to Taliban
15supporters, and
16WHEREAS, the Taliban allows designated foreign terrorist
17organizations al-Qaida, Tehrik-e-Taliban, and the Haqqani
18Network to operate in Afghanistan, and
19WHEREAS, in the past, the Taliban has used noncombatants as
20human shields; taken part in mass murder, gang rape, and
21hangings; and used Sharia law to remove rights from women,
22including banning girls from access to education, restricting
23women’s ability to work, and requiring women to be covered head
24to-toe, as part of a broader strategy to remove women from
25public life, NOW, THEREFORE,

27Be It Resolved by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
28
29That the Congress of the United States is urged to pass
30H.R. 260, the No Tax Dollars for Terrorists Act, to require the
31implementation of a strategy to oppose financial assistance to
32the Taliban.
33BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of State dispatch
34copies of this memorial to the President of the United States,
35to the President of the United States Senate, to the Speaker of
36the United States House of Representatives, and to each member
37of the Florida delegation to the United States Congress.
