6 Subject: Internal security and public safety; law enforcement; body-worn

8 Statement of purpose of bill as introduced: This bill proposes to establish an
9 independent civilian board to supervise and control the storage of and access to
10 law enforcement body-worn camera footage. The board shall be composed of
11 five civilian members, appointed by members of the three branches of
12 government, and shall be tasked with reviewing the footage, responding to
13 requests to view the footage, and making redactions to the footage prior to
14 release when appropriate.
