Senate Resolution
A resolution recognizing August 2026 as “Immunization
Awareness Month” in Florida.
WHEREAS, high immunization rates, in general, have
dramatically reduced the incidence of vaccine-preventable
diseases in the United States, and
WHEREAS, it is incumbent upon adults and parents to be
fully informed as to the benefits and risks of such vaccinations
in order to make wise decisions for themselves and their
children, and
WHEREAS, the month of August has been designated by the
United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as
National Immunization Awareness Month, NOW, THEREFORE,
Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:
That August 2026 is recognized as “Immunization Awareness
Month” in Florida.
