WILLIAMS, NOVEMBER 3, 2025AS REPORTED FROM COMMITTEE ON LABOR AND INDUSTRY, HOUSE OFREPRESENTATIVES, AS AMENDED, JUNE 9, 2026AN ACT1 Amending the act of October 24, 2012 (P.L.1209, No.151),2 entitled "An act regulating child labor; conferring powers3 and duties on the Department of Labor and Industry and the4 Department of Education; imposing penalties; and making a5 repeal," further providing for minors serving in volunteer6 emergency service organizations.7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania8 hereby enacts as follows:9 Section 1. Section 7(d)(3) of the act of October 24, 201210 (P.L.1209, No.151), known as the Child Labor Act, is amended AND <--11 THE SUBSECTION IS AMENDED BY ADDING A PARAGRAPH to read:12 Section 7. Minors serving in volunteer emergency service13organizations.14 * * *15 (d) Other provisions.--16* * *17(3) An individual who is 14 or 15 years of age may18 engage in training or [firefighting activities permitted19 under this section until 10 p.m. before a school day] other1 activities permitted under subsection (b)(1) until 10 p.m. if2 the minor:3(i) is a member of a volunteer fire company; and4(ii) has the written consent of the minor's parent5 or legal guardian.6 (4) AN INDIVIDUAL WHO IS AT LEAST 14 YEARS OF AGE MAY <--7 RIDE AN OFFICIAL VEHICLE TO THE SCENE OF A FIRE OR OTHER8 EMERGENCY RESPONSE FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES9 AUTHORIZED UNDER THIS SECTION IF TRANSPORTATION OF THE MINOR10 COMPLIES WITH FEDERAL REGULATIONS FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF11 MINORS ENGAGED IN EMPLOYMENT.12 Section 2.
