RES. 751 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES September 19, 2025 Mr. Johnson of Georgia submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform RESOLUTIONExpressing support for the recognition of September 7, 2025, as Liturgical Dance Day and the International Dance Commission, and for other purposes.Whereas, on September 7, 2025, the International Dance Commission will celebrate Liturgical Dance Day as dancers from around the world will take part in a day of fasting, prayer, and worship;Whereas, every Sunday morning, liturgical dance is expressed in thousands of ministries across the Nation, and liturgical dance ministers provide valuable outreach programs serving inner-city youth and instilling them with discipline, the desire to pursue excellence, and a love of dance;Whereas the International Dance Commission’s purpose is to serve as a multicultural umbrella organization and resource pool for dance, worship arts ministries, and dance companies throughout the world; andWhereas the members of the International Dance Commission dedicate themselves to service in their communities, sharing their gifts through the creative arts: Now, therefore, be itThat the House of Representatives recognizes Liturgical Dance Day and the International Dance Commission and its contributions to the creative arts and worship in communities across the State of Georgia.
