 I  119th CONGRESS  1st Session  H. R. 5488  IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES   September 18, 2025   Mr. Ruiz  (for himself,  Mr. Obernolte , and  Ms. DeGette ) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the  Committee on Energy and Commerce    A BILL
To amend title III of the Public Health Service Act to extend funding for the Special Diabetes Program for Indians.
1.
Short title
This Act may be cited as the   Special Diabetes Program for Indians Reauthorization Act of 2025  .
2.
Extension of special diabetes program for Indians
Section 330C(c)(2) of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 254c–3(c)(2) ) is amended—
(1)
in subparagraph (F), by striking  and  at the end;
(2)
in subparagraph (G), by striking the period at the end and inserting  and ; and
(3)
by adding at the end the following:
(H)
$160,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 through 2030, to remain available until expended.
