Section 4702(g) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:8 § 4702. Requirement for periodic inspection of vehicles.9 * * *10 (g) Exceptions.--The following are exceptions to subsection11 (f):12* * *13(5) Emissions inspection criteria for subject vehicles14 that are driven less than 5,000 miles.--A subject vehicle15 that is driven less than 5,000 miles in the previous 1216 months as indicated by the mileage on the vehicle's safety17 inspection certificate or by the mileage record on the18 vehicle inspection database and has not been transferred to1 another individual during the previous 12 months shall be2 exempt from the requirements for emission inspection. Nothing3 in this paragraph shall be construed to prohibit a subject4 vehicle from receiving an emissions exemption after 11 months5 have expired from issuance of the previous safety inspection6 certificate.7 Section 2.
