To modify and extend the authority of the Secretary of Defense to carry out a program to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.
1.
Short title
This Act may be cited as the Vietnam Veteran Commemoration Fund Act of 2025 .
2.
Extension and modification of program to commemorate 50th anniversary of Vietnam War
(a)
In general
Section 598 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 ( Public Law 110–181 ; 10 U.S.C. 113 note) is amended—
(1)
in subsection (a), by striking may conduct and inserting shall conduct ;
(2)
in subsection (c), by striking may and inserting shall ;
(3)
in subsection (e)(1), by striking If the Secretary establishes and inserting For purposes of carrying out ; and
(4)
in subsection (g)(1)—
(A)
by striking if established by the Secretary of Defense under subsection (a), ; and
(B)
by inserting of Defense after Secretary .
(b)
Effective date
The amendments made by subsection (a) shall take effect on November 11, 2025.
