Chafee Coastal BarrierResources System in Topsail, North Carolina, and for other purposes.1.Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Town of North Topsail Beach Coastal Barrier Resources System Map Amendment Act of 2025 .2.Correction to map(a)DefinitionsIn this section:(1)Local zoning ordinanceThe term local zoning ordinance means zoning regulations in effect for the town of North Topsail Beach, North Carolina, as of the date of enactment of this Act.(2)SecretaryThe term Secretary means the Secretary of the Interior.(b)Corrections requiredNot later than 30 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall make such corrections to the map described in subsection (d) as are necessary to exclude from Unit L06 of the John H. Chafee Coastal Barrier Resources System each parcel in the town of North Topsail Beach, North Carolina, that is designated by local zoning ordinance for purposes other than conservation as of the date of enactment of this Act.(c)Application of correction(1)In generalThe Secretary shall consider each parcel described in subsection (b) to meet the criteria described in section 4(g)(1)(B) of the Coastal Barrier Resources Act ( 16 U.S.C. 3503(g)(1)(B) ).(2)ClarificationThis Act applies only to areas of Unit L06 of the John H. Chafee Coastal Barrier Resources System that are within the municipality of the town of North Topsail Beach, North Carolina.(d)Map describedThe map referred to in subsection (b) is a map that—(1)is included in a set of maps as part of the John H. Chafee Coastal Barrier Resources System entitled John H. Chafee Coastal Barrier Resources System and dated November 25, 2024; and(2)relates to Unit L06 of the John H. Chafee Coastal Barrier Resources System.
