R. 2063 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES March 11, 2025 Mr. Kennedy of Utah introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Natural Resources A BILLTo prohibit natural asset companies from entering into any agreement with respect to land in the State of Utah or natural assets on or in land in the State of Utah.1.Prohibition of natural asset companies from entering into certain agreements(a)Definition of natural asset companyIn this section, the term natural asset company means—(1)a corporation that—(A)holds the rights to the ecological performance of a defined area; and(B)has the authority to manage the defined area for conservation, restoration, or sustainable management; or(2)a company or organization that is substantially similar to a corporation described in paragraph (1).(b)ProhibitionA natural asset company may not enter into any agreement with respect to—(1)land in the State of Utah; or(2)natural assets on or in land in the State of Utah.
