Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress, violating decorum and order expected of Members of Congress;Whereas pursuant to Rule I of the One Hundred Nineteenth Congress of the House of Representatives, the Speaker of the House of Representatives shall preserve order and decorum in the chamber;Whereas Members of Congress were advised by the Speaker of the House to maintain decorum;Whereas Representative Green willfully disrupted the joint session, remained defiant, and was subsequently removed by the House Sergeant at Arms from the chamber; andWhereas the actions of Representative Green brought disrepute to the United States Congress: Now, therefore, be itThat—(1)Representative Al Green of Texas be censured;(2)Representative Al Green forthwith present himself in the well of the House of Representatives for the pronouncement of censure; and(3)Representative Al Green be censured with the public reading of this resolution by the Speaker.
