2 AN ACT AUTHORIZING CONSECUTIVE REMOTE DRIVERS LICENSE RENEWALS
3     FOR ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY AND THEIR SPOUSES AND DEPENDENTS.

9 pursuant to the provisions of this subsection:

11(6)     Remote renewal or conversion. – Subject to the following requirements and
12limitations, the Division may offer remote renewal of a drivers license or
13remote conversion of a full provisional license issued by the Division:
14a.      Requirements. – To be eligible for remote renewal or conversion under
15this subdivision, a person must meet all of the following requirements:

174.      For a remote renewal, the most recent renewal was an
18in-person renewal and not a remote renewal under this
19subdivision.subdivision, except that an active duty member of
20the Armed Forces of the United States or a reserve component
21of the Armed Forces of the United States, who is stationed
22outside of this State, and the member's spouse and dependent
23children may remotely renew a license a second consecutive
24time if either of the following applies:
25I.      The license being renewed is not REAL ID compliant
26pursuant to the REAL ID Act of 2005, 49 U.S.C. §
2730301.
28II.     The license being renewed is REAL ID compliant but
29is being converted to a non-REAL ID compliant license
30for purposes of the renewal.
