SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 6
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Dr. Terrance Hines, who is serving as Physician of the
  Day at the State Capitol on January 14, 2025; and
         WHEREAS, Each day of the legislative session, a member of
  the Texas Academy of Family Physicians volunteers valuable time
  away from their practice to assist legislators and support staff
  at the Capitol health clinic; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Terrance Hines is the executive director and
  chief medical officer for University Health Services at The
  University of Texas at Austin, where he manages a large,
  multi-specialty clinic that provides care to a diverse
  population of university students; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Hines earned his undergraduate and medical
  degrees from Texas A&M University; he is a family medicine
  board-certified physician passionate about making a difference
  in his community; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed leader and administrator in health
  care serves on the boards of the Texas Academy of Family
  Physicians, AIDS Services of Austin, and Baylor Scott and White
  Health Austin/Round Rock Region, and he is a highly regarded
  faculty member of Texas A&M University and The University of
  Texas at Austin medical schools; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of his career, Dr. Hines has
  provided compassionate care to individuals and families from a
  wide range of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds; he
  exemplifies the highest ideals of the medical profession, and it
  is indeed a pleasure to welcome him to the State Capitol; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Terrance Hines for his
  participation in the Physician of the Day program and extend to
  him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
