Quality Broadband for Connected Communities Act

To increase the minimum broadband service capacity for projects under the Community Connect Grant Program, and for other purposes.
1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the “Quality Broadband for Connected Communities Act”.
2. Increase in minimum broadband service capacity for projects under the Community Connect Grant Program
Section 604(a)(2) of the Rural Electrification Act of 1936 (
7 U.S.C. 950bb–3(a)(2)
) is amended—
(1)
in subparagraph (A), by striking “10-Mbps” and inserting “25-Mbps”; and
(2)
in subparagraph (B), by striking “1-Mbps” and inserting “3-Mbps”.
3. Effective date
The amendments made by this Act shall take effect 6 months after the date of the enactment of this Act.
